Introduction
The Service uses multiple levels of security including browser, database and operating system security.
We continually monitor and review your use of the Service to help us to
identify any potentially fraudulent behaviour.
We review our security arrangements constantly.
Security Levels
We currently offer two levels of security to help safeguard your
financial information:
- SSL Encryption
All data sent to and from Ninety One is
"scrambled" and "reassembled" whilst travelling between us and your personal
computer. This helps to keep your personal and financial information
confidential.
- Authentication
A valid username and password must be entered every time you sign-on to
the Service.
Password Policy
You will be issued a temporary password and username when you register to use the service. You will be required to change this temporary password to something more memorable.
We take your online security seriously and to improve security to your online access we have introduced a password procedure where it is a requirement for your password to fit within certain criteria.
Your password will need to in the following format to be acceptable.
- The password must be a minimum of eight characters
- The password must contain a mixture of upper and lower case letters as well as at least one number and one special character *
Please note it will not possible to change your password to one that you have used in the last 12 attempts.
*Special character refers to alternative non-alphanumeric keys. The special characters accepted by our website are ?@$%^&*!-£
Security Recommendations
You must keep your password and username secret and must take all reasonable precautions to prevent the fraudulent use of it. You must never disclose the username and password to anyone other than your joint account holder (if relevant). You should not use the password for any other purpose. You should not write down your username and password in a way which could mean they can be understood by someone else.
When accessing the Service, you should make sure that your password will not be kept in any form (by browser or any other software) in such a way that other users of the same workstation can gain access to the Service.
If you think that someone else may know your username or password or has used them without your permission or if you have forgotten your password you should contact us immediately.
